The 14 newly elected Hall of Fame members are television sportscaster Brodie Brazil, Castro Valley High’s long-time equipment manager Warren Davis, world-champion pizza thrower Tony Gemignani, thoroughbred trainer Robert Hess, Jr., track star Kennedy Jones, professional soccer player Jenny LaPonte, late basketball coach Jim Lemmon, soccer standout Allison Sill, wrestler Summer Scott, volleyball star Kelli Sousa, athlete and coach Will Tavis, Oakland A’s Hall of Famer Steve Vucinich and professional baseball pitchers A.J. Vanegas and Alex Williams. Those 14 individuals join the 1994 Castro Valley High girls’ volleyball and 1958 boys’ wrestling teams to complete the diverse Class of 2024. They will be honored at an induction ceremony and banquet at Redwood Canyon Golf Course on Sunday, April 21, 2024
