The Castro Valley Sports Hall of Fame was founded in 2010 to honor exceptional athletes, coaches, trainers, administrators, and contributors to athletics for those that resided in the Castro Valley community during their time of exceptional achievement in athletics, and for those that significantly contributed to athletics at a Castro Valley school or to a Castro Valley community sports organization. Since 2010, there have been 96 individual Inductees, with a sixteen-member Class selected from among the community submitted nominees every two years. Starting in 2024, the CV Sports Hall of Fame will now be honoring exceptional teams from the Castro Valley schools or community, in addition to individual honorees.
The Castro Valley Sports Foundation is now accepting nominations for the class of 2026 Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the Castro Valley community through their athletic achievements or service to sports.
To nominate an individual, please review the Hall of Fame eligibility requirements document. Nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee, and the inductees will be announced at the end of 2025.
To submit a nomination, please fill out the application form in its entirety. A member of the selection committee may be reaching out to you for additional information. The deadline for nominations is July 31, 2025.
We encourage you to nominate any deserving individuals who have made a positive impact on the Castro Valley Sports community. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Board Lead for the Hall of Fame, at Patrick Ryken (pryken.cvsfhof@gmail.com).
We’ve funded dozens of sports programs over the years across Castro Valley because of the support and donations from our wonderful donors.
